Unplugged Ceremony

In order to fully immerse ourselves and each other in the beauty and magic of the ceremony, we have decided to make our wedding an “unplugged ceremony.” This means we kindly request that all electronic devices, including mobile phones, be turned off and kept out of sight.

We have arranged professional photography and videography to capture every moment of our special day, so there is no need to worry about missing anything. Our goal is to be present and fully engaged in the moment, surrounded by the love and joy of those closest to us.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate this day with you.

Car Parking

There is car parking on site and you can leave your car overnight. Just make sure you collect it by 11am on Sunday, if you want to have a few drinks (or many).

Dress Code

We’re so excited for our big day and can’t wait to see everyone all dressed up! While we don’t have a strict dress code, we do ask that you come dressed in your best wedding attire. We want our day to have a bright and cheerful summery vibe, so feel free to have fun with your outfit and add a splash of colour!

The ceremony will be held in the great outdoors, in the midst of the woods. While we know those high heels might look fabulous, we recommend bringing a more practical pair of shoes for the walk. And don’t worry, you can always switch to your stilettos once you reach the reception.

With summer in full swing, we want to make sure everyone stays comfortable and protected from the sun. Don’t forget to bring along some sunscreen and an umbrella, just in case we get a little rain. After all, a little rain on your wedding day is considered good luck!

Taxis & Carriages

There are lots of local options for taxis but the venue recommends Alpha Cars (01869 252525). Please arrange carriages by midnight.

Adults Only Please

Although we love your little ones, we thought you might like a night off to let loose, so please arrange a baby sitter. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I share photos from the day?

As we look forward to this joyous occasion, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in refraining from sharing any photos of the wedding on social media until we have had a chance to post our first photo as Mr. and Mrs.

We understand that you’re all eager to share your well wishes and your excitement with others, but we would love to have a moment to bask in the newlywed glow and share our first photo as a married couple with the world. This way, our first memories of the day will be shared together with everyone.

We truly appreciate your consideration and understanding in making this day all the more special for us. Thank you!

What if a guest has trouble getting across the field?

If any guests need assistance getting across the field, the Stratton Court Barn team will be on hand to drive people across. Please let us know in advance if you think that you may require assistance.

Can I bring a plus one?

We’re aiming to keep our wedding day as close and personal as possible with our nearest and dearest. Because of this and space constraints, we can’t accommodate plus ones. Only those who are directly named on the invitation will be able to join us on the big day.

Will food be served at the evening reception?

Yes we have Santina’s Wood Fired Pizza Co on-site for the evening serving up some amazing wood fired pizzas! Food will be served from around 8pm. Please let us know of any dietary requirements in your RSVP.

I have a different question, what is the best way to ask?

You can message us on Facebook or Instagram or pop us a text or WhatsApp.

Have you booked a block of hotel rooms for guests?

No. We haven’t booked a block of hotel rooms, however there are a lot of different options and recommendations that you can find here.

Where is the reception taking place?

The reception is being held on-site at Stratton Court Barn so there is no need to arrange mid-day transport.

Do you have a gift registry?

We’re so grateful for your presence on our wedding day. Your support and love is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you would still like to give a gift, we’ll have a post box at the entrance of the barn where you can drop off cards or contributions. But please, don’t feel obligated – your presence is more than enough!

What entertainment will there be?

We have a live band (Francis) playing sets in the bar throughout the evening. We also have lawn games and fire pits in the courtyard.
