We swiped right on each other in August 2018 and hit it off instantly, thanks to our mutual love for music and VW campervans. Our first date at The Black Horse in Great Linford sealed the deal, and we knew we had found something special in each other.

We bonded over our shared interests, spending time exploring the countryside, going to music gigs, and taking trips to the coast in our VW campervan. Cornwall became one of our favourite places and it was there that Scott planned to ask for Sofi’s hand in marriage.

However, first, he had to ask for Andy’s (Sofi’s dad) blessing and let’s just say, he bottled it more than a couple of times. But on the final day of a family holiday with the Standens, as the family was packing up to leave, Scott finally mustered up the courage to ask Andy. After much contemplation (and a hefty sigh), Andy gave his blessing, and Scott proposed to Sofi at Bedruthen Steps in Cornwall a few days later after watching a sunset that one passerby referred to as ‘a damp squib’  but Sofi thought it was perfect!

On 14th November 2021, we found our dream wedding venue, Stratton Court Barn and were instantly drawn to how perfect it was for us. We are so grateful to have found each other and can’t wait to get married and spend the rest of our lives together, filled with music and adventure.
